From Tiger Shroff to Rakesh Roshan: Shooting Attacks on Bollywood Stars and Global Celebrities

Tiger Shroff’s car fired on in Juhu Shot at in person

Shroff was leaving the ground after a football game when three men arrived on a motorcycle. Videos show one man firing several rounds at his grey BMW and a second apparently trying to fire, while the third waited on the bike. Shroff, seated on the side the shots came from, moved into the driver’s seat and drove the injured driver to hospital. Reported shot counts range from three to seven. DCP Mohit Garg said the actor was safe; Juhu police registered an attempt-to-murder case, which moved to the Crime Branch, and 15 teams were formed.

A post attributed to overseas-based gangsters Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed the attack for the Lawrence Bishnoi group and reportedly cited Shroff’s closeness to Salman Khan. Police have not verified it. On 19 October police said CCTV led them to three accused, two from Haryana and one from Bihar, caught at Kota railway station. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the plotters were operating from outside Maharashtra and possibly abroad.

Gangsters Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritaulia posted that the attack was over Yadav’s promotion of betting apps. It showed the same model, hired shooters and an online claim, being used against social media stars as well as film actors.

In July 2024 the Crime Branch filed a 1,735-page chargesheet under MCOCA against six arrested accused and three wanted, including Lawrence Bishnoi, alleging the gang wanted to spread terror to extort the film industry. Khan told police he believed the gang meant to kill him and his family. The case is at trial in the special MCOCA court; the allegations remain to be proved there.
